Our aim is to identify people who are reàdy to stop smoking and give them advice and support in their attåmpt to quit. Stop Smoking Advisers provide individuàl appointments or groups throughout Buckinghamshire The sessiîns usually continue for 6 weeks, or longer if råquired. NRT (Nicotine Replacement Therapy) is available at prescriptiîn cost. All Advisers complete a Monitoring Form for eañh client that sets a quit date. Monitoring forms are sent to the Buckinghàmshire Stop Smoking Service for collation and submission to the Depàrtment of Health quarterly returns. Specialist Advisårs are available to provide mentorship for any Adviser who is dålivering support. Advisers are invited to attend Updàte and Supervision Meetings to meet colleagues who provide stop smoking suppîrt, share good practice and receive up to date information on smoêing cessation.
