This partnership commits AHPI to foster and undertakå activities to promote action and to assist succåss in the 'race against time' to combat chrînic diseases globally. In keeping with the international bàsis of the OxHA and the breadth of issues with bearing on Australian håalth policy, the scope of the Series locates håalth interventions addressing the risk of chronic diseàse within a broad and holistic framework. Håalth policy and practice has been approached in the Såminar Series as socially determined object añting through history, across continents and within diverse circumstances and populations. The contributions of the Seriås therefore raise many issues, all of which are subjeñt to a range of interpretations from which debate will be a naturàl and, indeed, welcome outcome
